Sharing and Caring

In our 2018-19 Branch year we donated $6,000 to the Mississauga Food Bank, helping to ensure that the children, families and seniors who rely on the Food Bank could receive the healthy food they needed this holiday season. MFB2018

Donation In our 2017-18 Branch year, the Mississauga Food Bank was given $5,000 towards the purchase of food and essentials for Mississauga Residents.

RWTO members have outdone themselves in generosity. Here is Sheila Williams, convenor of Issues and Concerns, handing a $1,000 cheque to the Mississauga Salvation Army chairperson, Sharron Millard. The members donate their spare change at each of our luncheons. This donation will be added to the Children's Fund and used here in our community to help many needy families and to support children going to summer camp. Sharing and Caring

Mississauga  Branch Donations

Yearly our Branch makes donation to charities which support women and children in the Mississauga area. The Missisauga Food Bank has been the beneficiary of the proceeds from our Christmas raffle and draw.

At each Branch luncheon spare change is collected for the Salvation Army Children’s Fund.

This year our Branch donated to True North Aid – Moon Time Sisters – Ontario Initiative. (MTS-ON). This group of volunteers provides practical assistance in supplying feminine hygiene products to Indigenous women and girls in First Nations Communities in Northern Ontario. MTS-ON has also partnered with the Native Child and Family Services and donates items to their Toronto family shelter.

Our Branch also supported Indigenous Young People in the northern community of Lac Seul with health and educational needs.

The Brampton Quilters received a donation from our branch in support of their charitable projects with Peel Children’s Aid, Elizabeth Fry Society, The Journey Neighbourhood Centre and many more.
